Ready, Set, Race: Hilton & Moss partners with Supercar Driver, Radical Racing and FreeM UK for an Introduction to Motorsport Morning.
On Saturday 24th January, Hilton & Moss welcomed over 40 ambitious drivers looking to begin their motorsport journey to our Hertfordshire-based showroom, in collaboration with Supercar Driver, Radical Motorsport, and FreeM UK.
Designed to give aspiring racers access to the information and support needed to begin their journey in 2026, the morning kicked off with a presentation from Tim Crighton, ex-professional driver & racing instructor and current member of the Hilton & Moss racing team. Driving both our Lotus Emira GT4 and Pre'63 Jaguar E-Type, Tim's years of experience mean he knows exactly where to start when it comes to racing and what it takes to succeed on track.
Tim walked attendees through the essential first steps: obtaining the necessary licenses and passing official tests, investing in proper safety equipment and perhaps most importantly, developing the right mindset for competitive racing. His insider perspective gave our guests a realistic roadmap for taking their passion and turning it into action.
To help attendees understand the essentials they'll need before hitting the track, we were joined by Radical Motorsport, experts in lightweight, high-performance sports cars, and FreeM UK, providers of officially approved racewear and safety equipment.
For many, the highlight was exploring our historic race cars on the second floor and the race shop. Mark O'Neill, Hilton & Moss Motorsport Manager, led tours and answered questions about what goes into preparing and maintaining race-ready vehicles. On display in our race shop was Hilton & Moss’s historic Pre'63 Jaguar E-Type, which made its debut at Donington Historic Festival last year and will be competing throughout the 2026 season.
Led by William Garrett, our General Manager, and Tim Crighton, Hilton & Moss’s race team combines automotive expertise with a genuine competitive drive to succeed and improve. Backed by our in-house team of motorsport specialists, Hilton & Moss are committed to keeping classic and contemporary racing alive for all to enjoy for many more years to come.
We're excited to follow and support attendees' individual journeys and hope to see them on track in the future, putting everything they learned into practice. A big thank you to Supercar Driver, Radical Motorsport and FreeM UK for their support throughout the event.
